Prayers for your writing! I feel blessed that it was able to help you in the writing. You are so right. The words we leave behind are such a great gift to others. I too wish I had wrote things down sooner so I could remember; or that those I have loved and lost would have also wrote them down for posterity.

Prayers for you and your family!

I honestly think that seeing that we were in the same position, the same place, with no peers to impress or be popular with, no worry of anyone judging who he was talking too... I don't know exactly the combination, but I think those things were all factors.

I also think it was grace. Expecially when I consider where I was at the time. It really was a wonderful day. I will say we did not become friends. Monday morning we did not pick up where we left off. But, thigs did change. I wasn't so much a target anymore. And for my part I was able to see him differently. I think we both saw that we really werent that different from one another. It taught be a lesson in forgiveness and understanding. Im not sure what caused my previous experience with him; but again, I realized that we werent that different. And I think it changed much in the grand scheme of things. I was surprised to find myself refelcting on this. But, all these years later, it defitely had an impact.
